On October 21, 2025, at approximately 2:00 p.m., officers with the Big Spring Police Department were dispatched to the Reserve Apartments, located at 901 E. FM 700, in reference to a report of criminal mischief. Upon arrival, officers observed two vehicles that had been struck with raw eggs and found several pieces of PVC pipe in the area near the vehicles. Officers are also investigating reportyds of possible UAV (drone) or aircraft activity in the vicinity at the time of the incident.
The Big Spring Police Department would like to clarify that there is no evidence of any explosive device or “pipe bomb,” contrary to reports circulating on social media. The incident was determined to involve criminal mischief only, with no injuries reported.
The Department is working with the vehicle owners as the investigation continues. No further information is available at this time.
