BIG LAKE, TX — The Coahoma High School Big Red Band continued its award-winning streak this past Saturday, earning a second-straight Division I (Superior) rating at the Santa Rita Marching Festival in Big Lake.
Performing their show program, titled “Sparkle,” the band impressed judges to earn not only a Division I but also “Best in Class 3A” and “Best Brass.”
The strong performance marks the band’s second competitive contest of the season. The CHS band earned a Division I Rating at the Comanche Springs Music Festival held in Fort Stockton on Sept. 20.
The Coahoma High School Band will travel to Denver City this upcoming Saturday, Oct. 4, where they are scheduled to compete against 24 other schools in the Tumbleweed Marching Festival.
