HOWARD COUNTY, TX — A Big Spring man was killed in a two-vehicle crash last week in Howard County.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2025 at 4:58 PM, DPS Troopers responded to a crash along SH 350 & Old Colorado City Hwy that involved a 2010 Toyota and a 2019 Ford F-250.
The preliminary information revealed that the Toyota was traveling westbound on Old Colorado City Hwy, approaching the intersection of SH 350. The Ford F-250 was traveling north on SH 350, approaching the same intersection, when the driver of the Toyota disregarded the stop sign and proceeded into the intersection, resulting in a collision. The driver of the Toyota, identified as Charles Howard Guyer, male, 52 years of age, of Big Spring, TX, was transported to Scenic Mountain Medical, where he was later pronounced deceased by medical staff as a result of injuries sustained in the crash. According to the preliminary information, Guyer was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. The driver of the second vehicle was not injured.
This crash remains under investigation, and no further information is available at this time.
