BIG SPRING – Howard College Hawks Head Baseball Coach, Jake Carlson, has resigned his position with the Hawks to take an assistant coach position with another higher education institution. The resignation is effective immediately. College officials will be working quickly to find a replacement for Carlson so the program can continue moving forward.
“We wish Coach Carlson and his family the very best in their future endeavors. I know he will have a positive impact on student athletes at his new institution,” said Kyle Cooper, Howard College Athletic Director. “We will now put our full focus on finding his replacement in order to keep our baseball team on a positive trajectory.”
Carlson has been at the helm of the Hawks’ baseball program for the last year.
