BIG SPRING, TX—Scenic Mountain Medical Center (SMMC) has announced a multi-year facility improvement project to enhance patient care, safety, and comfort throughout the hospital campus and affiliated clinics. The phased investment includes $2.86 million allocated for 2025, with campus improvements and equipment upgrades already underway.
According to Mallik Chowdary Yenigella, CEO of Scenic Mountain Medical Center, they are continuing their mission of delivering high-quality care. These improvements will allow them to expand access through new technology, enhanced services, and an overall improved experience for patients and their families in the Big Spring community.
Planned upgrades will focus on imaging, the emergency department (ED), the intensive care unit (ICU), surgical suites, and more. The work slated for 2025 includes:

The total project is expected to reach $16 million by 2028.
