BIG SPRING, TX — The Heritage Museum in Big Spring is currently undergoing renovations to open a new Children’s Exhibit that includes a children’s theater and game room.
According to Museum Director Tammy Schrecengost part of the exhibit is an enlarged movie theater. She went on to say that there would be special showings on Saturday mornings of the old 30,40, & 50’s westerns and special cartoons from the 60s, 70s, 80s, and even the 90s. This new exhibit is being sponsored in part by grants from the Dora Roberts and Broughton Foundations and the FMH Foundation.
The third annual event “Night at The Museum”, a night when all of the exhibits come alive, will be held later this summer. They will have actors in costumes presenting the history of Big Spring along with special tour guides. If you are interested in being an actor or tour guide, please call the museum and we will add you to our list of volunteers.
