BIG SPRING, TX — This Saturday, April 27, from 10 am to 12 pm, there will be a historic carvings guided walk at the Big Spring State Park. The public is encouraged to take the view while taking a step back and taking time to join the Big Spring State Park staff on a guided walk that highlights the park’s unique overlooks and rock carvings.
Participants are encouraged to meet at the headquarters building by 10 AM. Be advised the walk will be about 2 miles. The walk will occur mostly on paved road surfaces, but will also also include portions of uneven rock surfaces. Those participating are encouraged to wear clothes and shoes that are comfortable. Can bring your water bottles and protection such as hats, sunglasses and sunscreen. Bringing your own snacks and binoculars is recommended but not required. This is a free event and be advised that the event may be canceled due to rainy or severe weather.
