BIG SPRING, TX — During Wednesday night’s meeting of the Big Spring ISD Board of Trustees, a resolution was passed nominating Superintendent Jay McWilliams for Superintendent of the Year with the Texas Association of School Boards, also known as TASB.
McWilliams has been with Big Spring ISD for 8 years, and has been the Superintendent for 6 years. Overall, he’s been in education for 41 years.
McWilliams told board members he was humbled by the nomination, especially since the nomination process is very detailed and involved multiple people. He went on to say he couldn’t do what he does without the great team around him including board members, administrative staff, principals, teachers, and other district staff members.
