BIG SPRING, TX — The Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club will host its annual Summer Day Camp Bowl presented by SM Energy at Bowl-A-Rama in Big Spring, located at 3318 S. Service Rd. I-20, tomorrow night from 6:30-9 PM. This is an annual fundraiser to help raise money for their Summer Day Camp program that allows children to have a fun safe place to attend over the summer. In addition to the numerous activities that children have the opportunity to participate in, they also get to socialize with others.
“It benefits them a lot. They get to grow there. They get to be themselves. They get to find new ways, new hobbies. They also get to meet new and interesting friends, and we’ve got all kinds of friends from all kinds of levels there. They get to socialize. There’s just so much for them to do there. They can grow and prosper and that’s where they get to form and become hopefully, that amazing adult and whatever dreams that they want,” said Vierra.
The public is encouraged to attend, bowl a few games, and check out their silent auction that will include various items such as jewelry, sports memorabilia, Pokemon framed cards, framed celebrity photos and more. Money raised from the event will be used to help fund this year’s Summer Day Camp program.
