It was a busy night on the diamond for local teams in the area. Big Spring Lady Steers were on the road to take on district rival the Snyder Lady Tigers. It was a hard-fought low, scoring game. Unfortunately, Big Spring dropped the game by a final score of 2 to 1. The loss now puts the ladies with a 2-1 district record. Their next game will be Friday when they take on Levelland. That game will be on the Lady Steers’ home turf; the first pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m.

The Forsan Lady Buffs notched an 8-0 dominate victory as they were on the road to take on Post. Aubrie Smith was dynamite on the mound as she went seven strong innings, only allowing two hits while striking out ten on the night. The win puts Forsan with a 9-7 overall record. Next, the Lady Buffs next take on Tahoka at home on April 5; the first pitch will be at 5 p.m.
The Forsan boys were also in action as they were on the road they took on Borden County. If you like scoring, this was your game as there were 37 runs scored between the two teams. The Buffs came out on top with a score of 22 to 15. The win pushed Buffalo’s record to 5-5 on the young season. Brandon Valdez led the team as he went 3 for five and drove in a game-high 5 RBI. Forsan takes the diamond again on Tuesday, April 5th when they face off against the Colorado City Wolves. The first pitch will be at 7 p.m.
In a district match-up, Stanton teams took on the Crane Golden Cranes. The Lady Stanton Buffs dominated the Cranes by a final score of 19 to 4. The win helps the Lady Buffs to a 6-9 overall record. Stanton’s next game will be on Friday, April 1, When they take on Sonora at home.
The Stanton Boys had a much closer game than the girls, but as the Buffs do, they also took care of business, winning a close, hard-fought match 12 to 11. The win puts the Buffaloes with an 8-9 overall record. They will next take on Sonora on April 1.
