The Coahoma Bulldogettes were well represented when All-District 5-3A honors were released recently.
After an outstanding season, which included Coahoma’s first district championship since 2008, the team landed 11 members on the All-District 5-3A basketball list.
Two Bulldogettes received superlative honors. Isabella Cox, a sophomore, was named District Offensive MVP, and Madison Rodgers, a senior and four-year varsity player, was honored as the District Co-Defensive MVP.
Bulldogette head basketball coach Joe Mireles was named District Co-Coach of the Year. This is his first year to serve as the girls basketball coach.
The Bulldogettes finished the season with a 23-11 record and made it to the second round of the UIL championship playoffs. Coahoma earned its second straight Bi-District championship with a 49-47 victory against Ballinger on Feb. 15, 2022, in Sterling City.
