Coahoma High School’s Baylor Wright has punched her ticket to State after vaulting a personal best of 12 feet to win the 3A pole vault event at ACU’s Elmer Grey Stadium. She is the back-to-back Region I-3A pole vault champion.
Kohen Grantom, also of Coahoma High School, is heading to the 3A State track and field meet after throwing a personal best in shot put with a distance of 27-1. He also qualified for state in the 400m Wheelchair Dash, with a time of 56.27, and in the 100m dash with a 15.76 finish at the Region I-3A track meet held in Abilene.
Forsan High School’s Brayden Cervantes is the 300 M Hurdles Region Champion after competing in Canyon this past weekend with a time of 39.83. He was also the District champion and the Area champion.
