BIG SPRING, TX — A cotillion meal and dance will be held on Sunday, May 4th, at Mustang Manor at the Castle. for the youth of Howard County and the surrounding areas, grades 5th-8th. The purpose of the event is to teach youth table manners, proper etiquette, and how to dance so they’ll have confidence and be better prepared for other events later in life.
Those participating in the event will have 2 dance lessons and 1 practice meal. The first dance lesson was yesterday. According to event coordinator Shelbi Cervantes, students can still sign up to participate as long as they contact her by Wednesday, April 23rd.
There will be a dress code for the cotillion event and fit practices. Parents are welcome to chaperone, but must adhere to the dress code. Also, be advised this is a stag event and no dating will be allowed. The fee is $160 per child, $60 for parents to join the Cotillion meal.
