BIG SPRING, TX — The Howard College Rodeo kicked off on Thursday afternoon at the Howard County Rodeo Bowl, located at the Howard County Fair Grounds.
According to Howard College Head Rodeo Coach Justin Jenkins, the Hawks compete in the Southwest Region which is home to 17 schools. These schools range from junior colleges to universities like Texas Tech and Tarleton State, thus making it the most competitive region.
The Howard College Rodeo will take place on April 10th, 11th and 12th. Times will vary through the course of the weekend but generally there are events taking place all day starting with slack around 9am with the main performances starting at 7pm. Saturday, April 12th, will be the short round or “finals” for the rodeo.
