BIG SPRING, TX — The Life Center is a non-profit, faith-based alternative to abortion organizations advocating sexual wellness through three areas of outreach: teaching about sexual risks, helping through pregnancy, and healing through restoration.
According to Tracy Watson, Executive Director for The Life Center – Big Spring, TLC assists from the moment a parent finds out they are pregnant.
“We do a pregnancy test. We do a referral appointment where we help them with Medicaid and WIC and just any referrals that they need in the community. Then we do a nurse appointment which is all education. We have a part-time nurse that educates them on everything to do with pregnancy. Then we have a sonogram appointment where they can come in and just see that baby. After that we do prenatal classes, which are education classes. We pay them baby bucks to shop in our Baby Boutique,” said Watson.
The Life Center has locations in Midland, Andrews, Big Spring, and Odessa, Texas. They uphold and promote the value of human life at every stage of existence and development. The location in Big Spring opened in 2016 to serve women experiencing unexpected pregnancies.
Next Thursday, Feb. 27th, The Life Center in Big Spring will hold its annual fundraising event at the Trinity Baptist Church Fellowship Hall at 6 PM. The guest speaker for the event will be Steventhen Holland, author, recording artist, passionate worship leader, motivational speaker, national pro-life speaker and founder of Broken Not Dead Ministries, a non-profit 501(c)3 organization.
