ANDREWS, TX – The Big Spring Steers Powerlifting teams competed in Andrews last month. In individual results, Monse Holguin and Liah Garza placed 1st in their respective weight classes. Holguin lifted a total of 695 lbs, and Garza lifted a total of 990 lbs Simey Tino placed 2nd and lifted a total of 585 lbs. Plus, Layla Seracha placed fourth and lifted a total of 445 lbs.
On the Boys side, Josiah Ceravazos and Zadrian Washington both placed 2nd in their respective weight classes. Ceravazos lifted a total of 1,015 lbs, and Washington lifted a total of 1,340 lbs. Ryan Carrillo and Matthew Sandoval placed 4th. Sandoval lifted a total of 1,145 lbs and Carrillo lifted 1,360 lbs.
The next meet for the Big Spring powerlifting teams will be on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025 in Kermit.
