BIG SPRING, TX — This week on December 19th and 20th, the Salvation Army in Big Spring will be collecting donations in memory of their long-time bell-ringer Ms. Delores Albert. She rang the bell for the Salvation Army for over 40 years while stationed at the U.S. Post Office.
Ed Teichman, son of Ms. Albert, will be stationed with the Red Kettle at the U.S. Post Office in Big Spring in honor of his mother from 10 AM to 2 PM on both days.
Major Dean Moretz with the Big Spring Salvation Army advised that anyone wanting to make a donation in Ms. Albert’s memory would be able to do so on Dec. 19-20, 2024 at the U.S. Post Office in Big Spring from 10 AM to 2 PM.
“If you remember her and want to honor her memory for the work that she did for the Salvation Army come out and donate to her kettle in honor of her at the post office,” said Major Moretz
Money raised from the Red Kettle campaign stays in Howard County to cover the operating costs for the local organization.
