BIG SPRING, TX — This afternoon, a jury in the 118th Judicial District Court found Terrance Lewis guilty in the murder of Neziah Turner, which occurred in August 2023. This is a first-degree felony that carries a sentence of anywhere from 5-99 years or life in prison.
Prior to sentencing, the prosecution advised the jury of the defendant’s criminal history that included 2 previous prison sentences. Lewis was sentenced by the jury to serve life in prison within the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
Lewis was indicted with Mobey Cordell Lewis for Turner’s murder in November 2023. Mobey’s trial date has not yet been set.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Erika Nielsen and District Attorney Josh Hamby. The presiding judge was the Honorable District Judge R. Shane Seaton.
