The 2024 General Election is now over and here are the unofficial local results for Howard County.
According to the results, a total of 9,686 ballots were cast for Howard County.
Locally, the only contested race was for County Clerk – Unexpired Term. The unofficial results are as follows:
* Jury Padron – 7,205 votes (majority of votes)
* Adriel E. Saldivar – 1,752 votes
The following local races were uncontested:
* District Attorney, 118th Judicial District – Joshua Andrew Hamby
*County Attorney – Lindsay P. Wilkerson
* Sheriff – Stan Parker
* County Tax Assessor-Collector – Tiffany Sayles
* County Commissioner, Pct. 1 – Eddilisa Ray
* County Commissioner, Pct. 3 – Jimmie Long
* Justice of the Peace, Pct. 1, Place 1 – Angela Griffin
*County Constable, Pct. 1 – David Sousa
Proposition A Coahoma ISD:
* For – 736 votes
* Against – 859 votes (majority of votes)
Borden County ISD, vote for 3:
* Clint Scott – 7 (majority of votes)
* Becky Justice – 6 (majority of votes)
* Miller Valentine – 3
* Justin Beall – 4
* T.C. Stipe – 5
* Adam Carter – 1
* Diedre Smith – 6 (majority of votes)
* Tim Hill – 1
* Shayla Gwinn – 0
**NOTE** Results will not become official until they are canvassed by their organization. Results for the County Clerk election will be canvassed by the Howard County Commissioners on Nov. 19, 2024.
