BIG SPRING – Howard College Hawks Head Women’s Basketball Coach, John Ishee, has resigned his position with the Hawks to pursue a new opportunity in girl’s basketball. The resignation is effective at the end of June. College officials will be working quickly to find a replacement for Ishee so the program can continue moving forward.
“We wish Coach Ishee the very best in his future endeavors in the world of women’s basketball. He has made a big impact with the Hawks and I know he will continue to be a positive influence on student athletes wherever he goes,” said Kyle Cooper, Howard College Athletic Director. “Coach Ishee has led the Hawks to many achievements on and off the court and leaves big shoes to fill. We will now put our full focus on finding his replacement in order to keep our women’s basketball team on a positive trajectory.”
Ishee has been at the helm of the women’s basketball program since 2020.
