BIG SPRING, TX — Marcy Elementary students were recently assigned a science project to make a homemade egg parachute. Yesterday, the completed projects were tested with help from the Big Spring Fire Department.
BSFD brought their ladder truck to Marcy Elementary and dropped eggs from the top of the ladder that was raised 7 stories high. If the egg parachute was successful, the egg did not break. The students with safe eggs at the end of the test were entered into a raffle for a chance to win a prize. After several students were entered into the raffle, the winner selected was Sophia Demeny.
