BIG SPRING, TX — On February 17, 2024 at 7:30 PM, the Big Spring Symphony Orchestra (BSSO) will be celebrating their return to the Big Spring Municipal Auditorium for the annual Pops Concert! HEB will be the co-sponsor for this exciting event through the Helping Here Program. This season’s concert will feature “Big Spring’s Own Jody Nix”. Jody Nix has been thrilling audiences for many years. A true Traditional Country Music and Western Swing artist, he has been in the business 61 years. He has played dances and shows all over Texas and parts of the southwest. He leads one of the finest dance bands in Texas, they fill the floor on every song.
Jody Nix and The Texas Cowboys will join BSSO’s incredibly talented orchestra for a night to remember that will include two new arrangements of some treasured favorites. Fagner Rocha will be the guest conductor for this performance. Dr. Fagner Magrinelli Rocha serves as Assistant Professor of Music at Angelo State University where he teaches violin, viola and directs the ASU Symphony Orchestra.
