WEST TEXAS — According to the United States Geological Survey, at 4:27 AM today, Nov. 8, 2023, a 5.2 magnitude earthquake was reported in western Texas, approximately 32 miles northwest of Pecos. Within the span of 30 minutes, a total of seven earthquakes occurred in the area.

On Saturday, November 4th, a 4.1 magnitude earthquake occurred approximately 12 miles north of Stanton. It was reported to have been felt in Stanton, Midland, and Big Spring.
