BIG SPRING, TX — The 3rd annual DAV Comedy Night will be held in Big Spring this Saturday at VFW Post #2013, located at 500 Driver Rd. The event has been held annually to raise money and awareness for the local chapter of the Disabled American Veterans, also known as DAV, Ch. 47.
Chris Crawford and Michael Shields, members of the Veterans of Comedy, will perform along with headliner Big Al Gonzales and special guests Matty Cupcakes and Adrienne Green.
Big Al Gonzales was the winner of the “Funniest in South Texas” and was also a finalist for “Funniest in Texas” in 2018. He’s also performed on Texas Public Radio’s storytelling show “Worth Repeating”, and has been seen on Amazon Prime, Food Network, Game Show Network, and NBC.
This is a free night of entertainment, but donations will be accepted at the door for the United Way of Big Spring and Howard County and the VFW. There is no age limit for the event, but viewer discretion is advised due to adult humor.
This year’s event is made possible thanks to sponsors such as Parkview Skilled Care and Rehabilitation, Blue Energy Services, KBest Media, Wolf Dirt Contractors, JNC Electric, Sealed in Sweetness, Lone Star Tactical Services, and Gentiva.
