BIG SPRING, TX — The West Texas Mediation Center is hosting an Anger management and Family Domestic Violence workshop for Clergy and staff on Saturday, August 12th from 10 am to 6 pm. This will be held at their office located at 501 S Runnels street in Big Spring.
The mission of the West Texas Community Mediation Center is a conflict-free community. Therefore, they are offering this training workshop for clergy and staff to gain a biblical understanding of anger management and conflict resolution. According to Danette Ross Watson, Executive Director for the WTXCMC, they will also discuss practical techniques to de-escalate conflict and help others manage their emotions that may lead to violence.
She went on to say that they are seeing more and more families that are dealing with crisis and conflict at the Center and wants to be sure that our churches are equipped with appropriate and applicable information to assist.
Registration for the training is $125. Watson urged those interested in the training to not be deterred by the fee. She advised that if you’re interested in the workshop, contact WTXCMC immediately to reserve your seat and discuss payment options. They can be reached by calling 432-517-4070.
