BIG SPRING, TX — Tomorrow, the Heritage Museum in Big Spring will host a book signing event with local author Dr. Scott Jimenez and his recent book PTSD: A Theological Approach from 1-3 pm.
Dr. Jimenez, who has experience serving as a Chaplain in the Navy and a VA Chaplain, told KBest News that he’s seen what the psychological and medical community can do for PTSD, but there’s still 22 vets a day that commit suicide.
“So, I thought, there’s gotta be a better way, something more wholistic, something that answers – because there has to be a need for them to commit suicide – what is not being addressed. So, I went back to the Bible, and I found an approach that answers it,” he continued.
Dr. Jimenez went on to say that this book is for everyone as it offers help with whatever trauma or stress that people have been through, as well as touching on forgiveness.
Tomorrow’s book signing for PTSD: A Theological Approach will be held from 1-3 pm at the Heritage Museum, located at 510 Scurry, in Big Spring.
