SNYDER, TX — Earlier this week, Snyder ISD announced that a staff member at Snyder Intermediate School, which serves grades 4-5th, was under investigation for potential misconduct. The district stated that the employee had been placed on paid administrative leave and the findings were submitted to local law enforcement.
The statement issued on Nov. 2, 2022 by Superintendent Bob Rauch stated “This is an ongoing investigation and relates to employment records; therefore, we cannot provide additional details. However, under no circumstances will we tolerate inappropriate staff conduct. Report any concerning behavior immediately and directly to a school principal or district administrator.”

Statement issued by Snyder ISD Superintendent Bob Rauch on 11/02/22:
NOV 02, 2022
Dear Snyder ISD Family,
There is no greater priority than our children’s health, safety, and welfare. We want to make our community aware that Snyder ISD is cooperating fully with local law enforcement as part of an investigation involving a staff member at Snyder Intermediate School (grades 4-5).
When the District administration learned of potential misconduct involving the staff member, an investigation began immediately and the employee was placed on paid administrative leave. We immediately turned our findings over to law enforcement and are fully cooperating with them during their investigation.
This morning, the school principal contacted the parents/guardians of students connected to this staff member to alert them of the situation.
This is an ongoing investigation and relates to employment records; therefore, we cannot provide additional details. However, under no circumstances will we tolerate inappropriate staff conduct. Report any concerning behavior immediately and directly to a school principal or district administrator.
This situation is upsetting to us all. We ask that you keep in mind that speculation and gossip may unintentionally cause additional distress to the involved families. Please allow due process to be served, and let’s support our school family through this difficult time.
Sincerely,
Bob Rauch
Superintendent of Schools
Snyder Independent School District
