BIG SPRING, TX — The West Texas Community Mediation Center (WTXCMC) recently announced that they will kickoff their Youth Empowerment Services (YES) Program through partnership with the Big Spring YMCA this month.
Thanks to sponsorship from the United Way of Big Spring and Howard County, Star Dodge of Big Spring, Walmart Store #513 of Big Spring, Food 2 Kids, and the Texas Bar Foundation, WTXCMC will be able to offer customized and individualized tutoring services, mentoring services with a twist, interactive group discussions, and introduce in-school conflict resolution and attendance mediation services to youth and school districts in Howard County and the surrounding areas.
The goal of the YES Program is to empower our kids to fall in love with learning, promote transformation in their thinking, development and behavior that will allow them to hear and understand how their actions and choices affect their future and others.
Registration dates are as follows:
* Tutoring Program- Monday, October 10, 2022 @ 4:00pm at WTXCMC
* Teen Talk Tuesday- Tuesday, October 18 @ 4:30pm at YMCA Big Spring
* Mentoring Program- Thursday, October 20 @ 4:30pm at WTXCMC
