BIG SPRING, TX – This Saturday night, August 2nd, Traditional Country Music and Western Swing artist Jody Nix and The Texas Cowboys will perform at the Stampede, a legendary dance hall in Big Spring to raise money for those impacted by the Kerr County Floods.
“Since this happened, I’ve just kind of felt led that we need to do something out here in West Texas, and I felt like I needed to do something. We’ve got the old place here, the Stampede and people are really responding to this. “[Let’s], just raise some money to help. Most folks are in dire need down there,” said Nix.
Doors open at 8 PM and the dance will be from 9 PM to midnight at 1610 E. Highway 350 in Big Spring. The entry fee is $20 per person but additional monetary donations will also be accepted. There will also be a live auction with baked goods and all the money collected during the event will be donated to the Kerrville Area Rebuilding & Recovery Fund that will go to several different entities to help.
