BIG SPRING, TX — Tickets are on sale now for this year’s Legends and Legacies dinner set for Tuesday, June 17th, 6:30 PM at The Club at Silver Hills, located at 2402 Driver Rd. in Big Spring.
This year’s inductees into the Heritage Museum Hall of Fame are:

Farming/Ag Gary Sturm
Pioneer Oil Producer C.V. Wash
Cowgirl Candy Middleton Brown
Cowboy Hershel Romine
Stock Show Family Jesse and Stella Brooks Family – Rodney, Judy, Diane, Iva Jo & Marty
Individuals selected for induction into the Heritage Museum Hall of Fame have made outstanding contributions based on one or more of the following criteria:
- The advancement of Western heritage and traditions over a lifetime.
- Individuals who promote America’s rich Western heritage through their leadership and patronage of art, business industry, environmental, education, humanitarian, government or philanthropic organizations.
- Achievement of national significance and historical relevance.
- Exemplification of the traditional Western ideals of honesty, integrity and self-sufficiency over a lifetime.
Through this recognition the Heritage Museum memorializes these men and women, with a plaque honoring those who have through their exemplary lives, careers, and achievements embodied and perpetuated the heritage of the Cowboy. Each inductee is honored for their rugged achievements and for their contributions that make up the past, present and future of Howard County.
Tickets for the dinner are $65 each and guests must RSVP with the Heritage Museum by Wednesday, June 11th. In addition to dinner and the presentation of the inductees, there will also be a silent auction, a live auction, and a Whiskey/Tequila raffle. These raffle tickets are $50 each, but you do not have to be present to win. Winners will be drawn during the Legends and Legacies dinner on June 17th.
The mission statement of the Heritage Museum is to be dedicated to the preservation of the heritage and history of the area and its people. To promote and recognize the modern culture through displays, art shows, craft exhibits, and spot events. The museum’s goal is to educate the public and inform the community on the importance of historical preservation.
