FORSAN, TX — Yesterday, Forsan ISD announced the selection of Michael Valencia, a seasoned educator with 24 years of experience, as the Lone Finalist for their next Superintendent of Schools.
Valencia is currently the Superintendent of McCamey ISD. He comes from a proud family of educators and brings with him a deep commitment to student success, community involvement, and educational excellence. Family is at the heart of his values, which aligns seamlessly with Forsan ISD’s strong community-centered mission. As a passionate advocate for student development, Mr. Valencia believes in shaping well-rounded individuals through a balanced focus on academics, UIL, and extracurricular activities. He is dedicated to helping students understand expectations and grow into responsible, engaged citizens.
“Michael brings an infectious energy and a clear vision for student success,” said Lewis Boeker, Forsan ISD Board President. “His belief in collaboration, both within the school and the broader community, reflects the direction we want to go as a district.”
Understanding the importance of teamwork, Valencia emphasizes the value of staff and community input in achieving success at Forsan ISD. He is excited to begin building strong relationships with students, staff, and families, fully immersing himself in the culture of Forsan. With a deep understanding of West Texas values and the needs of students in the region, Mr. Valencia is ready to lead Forsan ISD toward a bright and promising future. The board and administration are confident in his ability to inspire, innovate, and elevate the district to new heights.

By state law, the district must wait 21 days before offering Mr. Valencia a contract.
