SAN ANGELO, Texas — The Coahoma High School FFA veterinary science team has qualified for the FFA Career and Development Events (CDE) state competition for the fifth consecutive year.
The team, which includes Ashlyn Hipp, Kaylee Davis, Addyson Hughes, and Ava Alaman, placed second at the area contest held at Angelo State University in San Angelo on Monday, April 7, 2025. Individually, Ashlyn Hipp placed first in the event.
During the veterinary science competition, the students demonstrated their technical skills with both small and large animals as a team.
The state veterinary science competition is scheduled to take place at Texas A&M University in College Station on April 26, 2025.
Throughout this week, many Coahoma FFA students will be competing in various events at FFA CDE area competitions.
