BIG SPRING, TX — A regular meeting of the Big Spring City Council will be held tonight at 5:30 PM at the Council Chambers, located at 307 E. 4th St. Itens on tonight’s agenda include a presentation Regarding the Vector Fleet Management Annual Review. Plus, there will be public hearings to possibly abate two properties considered to be a public nuisance. The first is located at 711 Anna in Big Spring and is owned by: Maria De La Cruz. The second is located at 700 E 15th, and is owned by: David Ortiz Gonzales Jr.
The City Manager’s report will give an update on Large Item Pickup, District 3 and give information on the City Picnic on March 28th.
New Business items include a first reading of a resolution to accept a Grant offered by the Texas Department of Transportation for the funding of the design, bid phase and reconstruction of runway 06/24 at the McMahon-Wrinkle Airport and Industrial Park. There will also be a first reading of an ordinance amending the city budget by increasing the Airpark Fund Budget for the purpose of appropriating $145,000 for the Airpark’s Cost share of a $2.9 million grant for the project on a 95/5 cost share.
The Council will also consider possible approval of a lease agreement with Fortitude Mining, LLC and a termination of lease and release with Foundry Digital LLC both at Building 1B at 1600 First Avenue, at the Big Spring McMahon-Wrinkle Airport and Industrial Park in Big Spring.
