COAHOMA, TX — On Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2024, the 2024 Coahoma softball team was presented with their 2024 Class 3A state championship rings. The Bulldogettes won their second consecutive state title in May and finished the season 32-0.
Head softball coach Alex Orosco told KBest News it felt incredible to be able to celebrate the hard work the girls and the staff put in.
“It’s like a weight off our shoulders, you know, that we get to celebrate all the hard work that we did and that the girls put in. I think it caps off an incredible journey. It gives us something tangible that we’ll remember forever – pretty amazing,” he continued.
During the presentation, Coahoma Athletic Director Chris Joslin stated that it was great to bring home the consecutive state titles, but he was even more proud of the character of the girls off the field. Coach Orosco said anytime that the kids can be good people to each other and to the community it brings a lot of joy and satisfaction as an educator.
