BIG SPRING, TX — After the canvassing of the official results from the General and Special Election at Tuesday’s special meeting of the Howard County Commissioners, it was noted that Jury Padron had won the election for Howard County Clerk. Her opponent was Adriel Saldivar.
She’ll be taking on the unexpired term of the position currently held by Brent Zitterkopf, who will retire in December 2024. According to County Judge Randy Johnson, Padron will be appointed at the November 25, 2024 Commissioners Court meeting to an interim position effective Dec. 9 which is Zitterkopf’s last day.
