BIG SPRING, TX — During today’s meeting of the Texas Retired Teacher Association Master Sergeant Darrell Mahan, U.S. Air Force Veteran, was presented with a Quilt of Valor. Mahan served in the USAF from 1984 – 2001.
After the presentation, Mahan was touched by receiving the quilt. He said he was touched by the presentation because he didn’t think of what he’s done as great. He said he traveled the world and loaded bombs for a living. It was also special to him because his mother made quilts and she donated them all over the world.
The mission of the Quilts of Valor Foundation is to cover Service Members and Veterans touched by war with comforting and healing Quilts of Valor.
THANK YOU for your service, U.S. Air Force Master Sergeant Darrell Mahan!
