MIDLAND COUNTY, TX — A frozen food truck was struck by a Union Pacific train in Midland County last night.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash happened yesterday, 9/23/24, at 7:45 pm near HWY 80 and SCR 1250. A truck tractor with a towed trailer was transporting frozen food when it was struck by a Union Pacific train at the crossing of Hwy 80 and SCR 1250 in Midland County. The train hit the towed trailer, scattering frozen food along the tracks and roadway. Union Pacific was notified, and railroad personnel were on the scene. There were no reported injuries in this crash, which remains under investigation. No further information is available at this time.
