The Big Spring Fire Department recently announced the passing of Battalion Chief Greg McAlister, who passed away after suffering injuries in an out of state motorcycle accident on August 31, 2024.
According to BSFD, “He was a tenured member of our department and a great friend to all. Battalion Chief McAlister lived his life in service, protecting and serving his community, and he was proud to be a firefighter. We owe him a debt of gratitude, and he will be deeply missed.”
A public memorial service for Battalion Chief Greg McAlister is scheduled for 10 am on Saturday, September 14th, 2024, at Trinity Baptist Church in Big Spring. Battalion Chief McAlister passed away on August 31st, 2024.
BC McAlister served his community as a dedicated fireman in the Big Spring Fire Department for 22 years. He faithfully and selflessly served the citizens of Big Spring and Howard County during that time. He was a friend to many and will be forever missed and always remembered by all who knew him.
BSFD invites the community to come together to honor Greg and celebrate the life of a man who dedicated himself to serving others.
