BIG SPRING, TX — This month the West Texas Rod Run, presented by local car club Big Spring Cruisers, will make a return to Big Spring for the 53rd consecutive year. It is the longest consecutive rod run in Texas. This poker run and cruise will be on Friday, August 30 and Saturday, August 31 in Big Spring.
The poker run and cruise night will be on Friday, Aug. 30, from 6 to 9 PM. Registration starts at 6 PM and the cruise begins at 8 PM. Cost is $20 to participate in both. Food and drinks will be available. Participants will meet at the Heritage Museum, located at 510 Scurry St.
On Saturday, August 31, they will have a car show at the Heritage Museum. Registration is from 8 AM to 1 PM, and awards start at 3 PM. Car show entry fee will be $25 per vehicle, motorcycle, etc. The first 50 entries will get a free car show T-shirts.
