BIG SPRING,TX — Robert Hoff has been announced as the new Associate Director for the West Texas VA Health Care System.
Hoff is an Air Force Veteran who served for 26 years. In 2023 he served as the Acting Director for WTVAHCS for a short time until Keith Bass filled the position. Now he’s back in a new role. He’s been Associate Director for approximately three weeks.
Today, WTXVAHCS is hosting a blood drive into 3 pm at the George H. O’Brien VA Medical Center, located at 300 Veterans Blvd. Blood donors will have the chance to win BIG – up to $30,000 toward the purchase of a car of their choice. All donors who come to give blood, platelets or plasma now through July 27, 2024, will automatically be entered for a chance to receive up to $30,000 toward the purchase of a car.
Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood and the blood supply remains very low.
Blood donors only need to be at least 16 years old, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds and be healthy. 16 – 22 year old donors will need to meet additional height and weight requirements. 16 year old donors must present a minor donor permit signed by a parent or guardian – go to www.vitalant.org to find the form and for more information.
