Coahoma’s Wright and Lewis named to THSCA 3A Super Elite Team

Coahoma High School athletes Baylor Wright and Bree Lewis were selected for the Texas High School Coaches Association 2023-2024 Girls Track and Field 3A Super Elite Team.

Wright and Lewis earned silver medals in their respective events at the 2024 UIL 3A State track and field competition held in late April. 

Wright cleared 11 feet, 6-inches to secure her silver medal in the pole vault, while at the same time setting both a personal and a school record. Lewis placed second in the shot put with a toss of 40-8 ¾. 

Both athletes will be returning for the upcoming 2025 track and field season. In addition to their standout track and field performance, Wright and Lewis are members of the 2024 3A state champion softball team.
