BIG SPRING, TX — KBest News has been advised of a SCAM happening in the Big Spring area.
A “massage business” called Comfort Home Mobile Door-In Massage & Spa is using photos of the local business Back in Back In Motion Chiropractic, located at 1113 S Scurry, to appear as a legitimate business in Big Spring. It seems as if it is attempting look like it shares the building with Back In Motion Chiropractic by listing its address as 1115 S Scurry and by showing a sign with their business name on it below the Back in Motion / West Texas Injury Prevention sign, however, this is an edited photo and that business sign does not exist.
In addition to presenting a false address, multiple reviews for the business reveal that people are asked to pay for massage services in advance and later show up to their appointment to find that the business does not exist in that location.
The contact person listed for this business is shown to be Bella Burris. The website, which was made using Google Sites, implies that the business is licensed through Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR). Burris even lists herself as a Certified Licensed Massage Therapist on her Linked In profile and lists her TDLR license number, however, when searched on the official site this number comes back to a different name who is licensed as A/C Technician in Travis County.
KBest News attempted to contact the business through the listed phone numbers found on the website and other listings, however no one answered and no calls were returned.
The Big Spring Police Department has advised that if you have been a victim of this scam you should report it to them by calling 432-264-2559.
