BIG SPRING, TX — During tonight’s Big Spring City Council meeting, Councilwoman Gloria McDonald, District 4, was recognized by the City of Big Spring for her 15 years of service to the city. After she was presented with a plaque from Mayor Robert H. Moore and City Manager Todd Darden, she received a standing ovation from City staff and audience members.
McDonald’s originally served on the council years ago for 9 consecutive years before term limits were put in place. She later was elected again in 2018 and served two consecutive terms.
In addition to serving on the City Council, McDonald was recognized as Woman of the Year in 2012. She has served on the board for the Ports-to-Plains Alliance since 2013, and has also served on the Hangar 25 Air Museum board for 29 years.
