BIG SPRING, TX — According to the 118th District Court, 27-year-old Colten Hughes was indicted for Murder today by the January Term, 2024, Howard County Grand Jury.
Hughes was arrested in February for the murder of his grandmother 67-year-old Leah Hughes, who was found deceased at her residence in the 1800 block of Brent Drive on December 27, 2023. According to the Big Spring Police Department, the medical examiner determined her death was a result of a gunshot wound.
