WINKLER COUNTY, TX — Two 18-year-olds have recently been identified as the victims of a two-vehicle crash that occurred on Easter Sunday.
DPS Troopers responded to the call at approximately 1:07 PM on March 31, 2024 to a wreck located near State Highway 18 and FM 874. According to the preliminary information, a 2015 Mack Truck with trailer was traveling westbound on FM 874. The 2010 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling northbound on SH 18, approaching the intersection with FM 874. The Mack truck disregarded the stop sign and entered the intersection in front of the Silverado. The Silverado then struck the 18-wheeler Mack truck.
The driver and the passenger of the Silverado, identified as Noel Ezequiel Rodriguez, 18, of Kermit, TX, and Andrea Katelyn Burkhalter, 18, of Kermit, TX were pronounced deceased on the scene. The driver of the Mack Truck, Eddie Randall Hall, 47, of Odessa, TX, was transported to Winkler County Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
This crash remains under investigation, and no further information is available.
