BIG SPRING, TX — During Tuesday’s special meeting of the Big Spring ISD Board of Trustees an expenditure over $150,000 for the purchase of dish machines at Six BSISD Campuses. They also approved an expenditure over $150,000 for the purchase of school supplies from EPI. This will allow the district to purchase student school supplies for the fourth consecutive year. During discussion on the topic, BSISD Superintendent Jay McWilliams advised that the cost of supplies had increased. He noted that the first year that school supplies were purchased the cost had been less than $150,000. This year, the cost increased over that amount.
During the meeting, Board members announced that McWilliams had received a favorable Superintendent Annual Evaluation and they approved to extend his Superintendent Contract with modifications.
