HOWARD COUNTY, TX — The Commissioners’ Court of Howard County, Texas (“County”) is seeking bids for the purchase of one tract of real property owned by the County. The tract of real property is as follows: an approximately 0.190-acre tract located at 301 Spring Creek Road, Big Spring, Texas 79720 (surface estate only). This tract is approximately a quarter mile north of Interstate Highway 20 and approximately a quarter mile west of Salem Road in Big Spring, Howard County, Texas. The property may be viewed by interested bidders through an appointment with Howard County Judge Randy Johnson.
Bid packages, including instructions, and bid forms, will be available in the Howard County Clerk’s Office located in the Howard County Courthouse at 300 S. Main Street, Ste. 104, Big Spring, Texas 79720. Bid packages will be available for pickup at the Howard County Clerk’s Office or online at co.howard.tx.us by January 22, 2024. The deadline for submission of written and sealed bids is February 9, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. Bids will be received at the Howard County Judge’s Office located in the Howard County Courthouse at 300 S. Main Street, Ste. 207, Big Spring, Texas 79720. Any bid received after the deadline will be returned unopened.
All bids timely received shall be opened and read aloud on February 12, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. at the Howard County Commissioners’ Court Workshop located in the Howard County Courthouse at 300 S. Main Street, Ste. 208, Big Spring, Texas 79720 and will thereafter be available for public inspection. The County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, and to award the bid in the best interest of the County and at the sole discretion of the County.
