BIG SPRING, TX — The Big Spring State Park will have a couple of family-friendly events coming up soon.
This Saturday, December 30th, it will host the event Discovery Table: Skulls & Skins from 1-2:30 PM at the Headquarters building. This is an opportunity for visitors to feel fur from a skunk, fox, coyote, and more while also learning about what makes these Texas mammals special. All ages are welcome for this free event.
On Monday, Jan 1st, there will be a First Day Hike at the Big Spring State Park. The hike for the 4-mile scenic loop will be held 9-11:30 AM. A shorter hike, measured approximately 1.75 mile, will be the Historic Carvings Walk that will take place from 1-2:30 PM.
