Two men were recently indicted for Murder by the July Term, 2023, Grand Jury.
On Thursday, November 9th, Mobey Cordell Lewis, 31, and Terrance Monte Lewis, 27, were indicted for the murder of Neziah Turner that occurred in August 2023.
Also, last week Quemarian Lewis, 21, of Big Spring, was scheduled for arraignment in the 118th District Court. Lewis was arrested earlier this year for allegedly stabbing a 17-year-old female multiple times. She was later discovered by a motorist on the side of the road near Lake JB Thomas.
According to the Scurry County District Attorney’s Office, Lewis pleaded guilty to the charges of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Aggravated Robbery and was sentenced to 45 years in prison, with the sentences to be served concurrently.
The second suspect in the stabbing, Brookelyn Jenson, 21 at the time of the incident, was also arrested and had been charged with Aggravated Assault w/ Deadly Weapon Second Degree Felony. Her case is still pending.
