BIG SPRING, TX — This week, the Salvation Army of Big Spring started accepting applications for their Angel Tree Program. The program provides Christmas gifts for children age 13 and below, including pregnancy, and for seniors age 60 and above, and anyone who has proof of a disability.
In order to apply for the Angel Tree Program for children, you must provide an ID and birth certificates for the children. For seniors or special angels, proof of disability is required. No children and no pets are allowed at registration and all required documents are needed at the time of registration.
Registration will continue from 9AM -3PM tomorrow, Oct. 19, and Monday, Oct. 23rd at the Salvation Army of Big Spring office at 811 W. 5th St. Extended hours will be available on Thursday, Oct. 26th, from 9am to 7 pm. Note that the Salvation Army office will be closed for lunch from 12-1 PM.
If anyone is unable to make it to the office for registration, they can call the office at 432-263-8239 and ask to speak with Major Pam Moretz, Tina, or Selene.
